Colorado State University Marketing and Communication

Take a look at a selection of my photography work from my internship with the CSU Marketing and Communication Department during the Fall 2024 semester.

Working with CSU’s Marketing and Communication was an unexpected challenge: I was initially blindsided at how different Marketing and Communication was from the training I received from the Defense Information School. The skills were similar and the content was vastly different; but the intent was the same: communicate a story through my imagery. Instead of showing the American public the everyday lives of service members, I was instead highlighting life at Colorado State for fans and family.

Football at Colorado State University

This internship led me to explore avenues that I never thought possible and enabled me to be confident in my skills regardless of the situation. I will never forget the feeling of working my first football game and experiencing the rush and adrenaline as the team entered the stadium.

Basketball and Volleyball at Colorado State University

While football games led to a rush of adrenaline, basketball and volleyball were both brand-new adventures for me. I’ve never felt shorter than I did sitting courtside for men’s basketball games, but I felt so connected to the game and the athletes in a completely different way than football gave me.
